Marissa & William’s Signature Ginger Lemonade




Ingredients
1 cup sugar or dark agave
1 cup water
½ cup of thinly sliced fresh ginger
2 tbsp lemon juice
Dark Rum to taste

  1. Make a simple syrup: Mix 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water in a sauce pan. Bring it to a boil. Simmer gently until the sugar dissolves. Stir occasionally.
  2. Add 1/2 cup of thinly sliced fresh ginger. Simmer for 30 minutes
  3. Remove from heat; let cool, then add 2 Tablespoons of lemon juice.
  4. Pour into container and refrigerate until ready to use. 
After you've made the syrup, add fresh lemonade and a good dark rum to taste. You only need a few tablespoons of syrup for each cup of lemonade.
